2 cups, washed and dried (360g)
2/3 of a cup, washed and dried (100g)
Meat (Cow)
300 grams of minced meat (299g)
Onion (chopped)
1 medium onion, chopped (150g)
Onion (sliced)
1 small onion, sliced (100g)
6 mashed cloves
Pine nuts
1/3 cup pine (50g)
1 big spoon
Olive Oil
2 tablespoons
Cumin powder
2 teaspoons
Black pepper / Cayenne
1 teaspoon
8 cups (2 liters)
Chicken broth (Maggi) - Optional
2 cubes (20g)
Lemon juice (fresh) - Optional
1/2 of a cup


Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and add the chopped onions. Cover the skillet and cook the onions on low heat until translucent and ripe (3 minutes).

Step 2

Put the garlic, the chicken broth cubes, the water, the lentils and the cooked chopped onions in a pot and mix them.

Step 3

Leave the ingredients to boil well for 50 minutes, making the lentils mature well while still firm.

Step 4

After 50 minutes

Add the rice, then leave the mix boiling for an extra 20 minutes. The rice will become ripe and the mixture will become thick.

Step 5

Dilute the butter in a bowl, and use it to cook the sliced onions, until you achive a golden color. Then put the cooked onions aside.

Step 6

Place the chopped meat in a pan and simmer until it becomes cooked. Add the pine nuts and the spices, and drop the sliced onion mixture into the pan and mix it well. (15-20 minutes)

Step 7

When the lentil mixture is ready, place it in a serving dish and add the cooked meat mixture on top.
